Steve Kahn

Senior Physicist

Stephen Kahn's career started as an experimental elementary particle physicist specializing in the analysis of bubble chamber experiments. The experimental program include both hadron and neutrino physics. Dr. Kahn participated in the D-zero experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron providing software support for the calorimeter. Since the mid 1980’s he worked on the design of superconducting magnets for accelerator applications, including magnet designs for ISABEL, RHIC and the SSC. During his career he was involved in particle simulations of future collider accelerators and detectors. His most recent interests center on studies in support of a muon collider.
